Subject: Jersey City, New Jersey   Fished on 10/10/2006  Boat: WEIGHPOINT  Capt: Ralph Roth

Report:

After 40 years of fishing from Block Island to the Bahamas, there is a first time for everything. It was like the Circle Line, on piscatorial steroids with live bait and light tackle. Limiting out on Stripers, many schoolies and shorts plus uncounted blues up to 12lbs. the whole six hours. It was one of the most memorable fishing trips ever, fighting so many cooperative fish in the canyon of the East Side Skyline, wow. Thousands of eyes must see this action daily from there offices and apartments. I guess they are too busy to stop and smell the roses. You will be grateful if you stop and call Capt. Ralph 732-512-8827.

WEIGH POINT CHARTERS Capt Ralph From: Chuck Gainey. Fished with Ralph for many years, you will not find better Striper fishing Charter.  NY Harbor & the East River holds quality Bass thru Dec. Ralph Knows every drop off and Snag from Hells Gate, the harbor and out to the Verrazanno.

Hi Capt. Ralph, I just wanted to thank you again for our very successful outing on Sunday. It was a very new experience for me having never fished salt water or tidal rivers. I want to thank you for your patience and expertise when I was struggling those first few hours. When I finally got comfortable fishing the vertical presentation and was able to keep the bait in the strike zone, things got much better. Sorry about the lost terminal tackle, I hate loosing tackle, but its worse when it’s someone else’s. You ran a very efficient ship and your knowledge was impressive. You really put us on the fish. You’re also quite a good photographer. thanks for the great shots. I’ll definitely do this again in the spring with Bruce and company. Have a good holiday season.

Thanks again for everything! Regards Doug

Hi Capt. Ralph,

I want to thank you again for such a great trip. Everything could not have been more perfect. Nick was EXHAUSTED. He was having trouble lifting his arms last night. That is a true sign of some big fish. Nick has vowed to return and catch that big one that got away. Delroy, Fabian and Paul all had a great time. I told them that you were the MAN. Now they fully believe everything that I told them about you. GREAT JOB!!!

The pictures are awesome. I will email them to you. Please send me your pictures also. I will let you know which day in July will be good for the fishing trip that we discussed.

Regards

Steve

Report:

Fished with Capt. Ralph Roth Saturday WEIGHPOINT CHARTERS. Ralph put us over big Bass again, 38”.36”,34”,33”,36”. We caught 5 nice fish and jigged 25 Shorts. Four of the fish had tags on them. one Maryland, two Hudson River, one Berkeley Surf Fish Club. I have fished with Ralph late season for bass for the last six years, I have never had a bad trip, he ALWAYS FINDS BIG FISH. It always is a blast pulling big fish in the shadow of lower Manhattan. Last year he was on big Bass thru December. You also do not have to sweat the sea conditions, the Harbor stays pretty flat. Tight lines
